December 8, 2004 certainly brought tears in the eyes of thousands of metal fans. Something like this was reported :

"At least five people died and two others were wounded after a shooting at a Columbus, Ohio nightclub on Wednesday night.
Two members of the heavy metal band DAMAGEPLAN were reportedly shot and killed, including Dimebag Darrell, formerly with the band PANTERA."

The alleged gunman also died at the scene, according to police.

Shortly after the band began playing its first song, a man reportedly ran onto the stage and began shooting, according to a witness who identified himself as Sean. Some members of the audience reportedly thought the man running onto the stage with a gun was part of the band's act, the television station reported.

Witnesses said that several shots were fired at the band. Witnesses said that a bouncer at the club tackled the alleged gunman before that person was shot and killed. It was unclear as to who shot the alleged gunman.

Lyrics:

I’ve been around this world, Yet I see no end.
All shall fade to black again and again.
This storm that’s broken me, my only friend.
Yeah
In this river all shall fade to black
In this river ain’t no coming back
In this river all shall fade to black
Ain’t no coming back
Withdraw a step away, just to find my self
The door is closed again, the only one left
This storm that’s broken me my only friend
Yeah
In this river all shall fade to black
In this river ain’t no coming back
In this river all shall fade to black
In this river all shall fade to black
In this river ain’t no coming back
In this river all shall fade to black
Ain’t no coming back
In this river all shall fade to black
In this river ain’t no coming back
In this river all shall fade to black
In this river all shall fade to black
In this river ain’t no coming back
In this river all shall fade to black
Ain’t no coming back

Darrell Lance Abbott, also known as "Diamond Darrell", "Dimebag Darrell", or simply "Dime" (August 20, 1966 – December 8, 2004) was an American guitarist, best known as a founding member of the heavy metal bands Pantera and Damageplan. Zakk Wylde always dedicates this to his good friend, Darrell Dimebag Abbott. Wylde wrote this a few months before Abbott's death.

The music video for this song features two children; one represents wylde himself and other Dimebag. The video is about their eternal friendship and in the whole song they are seen together. But towards the end of the song, both of them dive into the river and Dimebag gets taken away by the force of river (nature). Wylde shows fury towards Dimebags death.
